17x9.5 ET12 with 255-40 on the rear
17x9 ET25 with 235-40 front

Anyone got experience of these sizes? I've got Cusco coilovers on the front so unsure if it will hit?

With standard shocks you wheels will be 2.95mm from touching and 6.95mm from the arch on the front and 0.3mm from the arch on the rear.
It's a bit close at the rear but should fit okay, can't comment on wether they will fit with your coilovers though.

Hmmm scratch

I hate wheel hunting! I want a nice set of 17's that fit without spacers and can get decent tyres for without spending an absolute fortune on them as I'm spending money elsewhere at the mo!

Right, how about.............

17x8.5j ET30 with a 10mm spacer on the front with 235/40's (Or would an ET12 fit better?)
17x9.5j ET12 on the rear with 255/40's

If my calculations are right, it'll sit pretty much flush at the back, and sit apx 10mm in on the front?

Ill have to have a look when they arrivebut if IIRC I bought them so they will just about squeeze on a standard car plus with a very modest spacer go on a widebody too to gibve them max flexability. Ill give you a shout and put put pics as soon as they arrive :-)
