TRD JGTC SW20
Hi everyone-
I am a long time TRD distributor. One of the original TRD USA originating member. I have worked with Toyota in competition, even before TRD was established.
I am in the final process of casting molds for the original race version body kit as produced by TRD Japan. This is not the TRD2000GT widebody- that was available to the public, but the wide-body for the Toyota GT300 JGTC cars.
The kit I have and will offer is "as designed" for the TRD supported JGTC "works" teams. The various "works" team did their own modifications to the kits... so no two are alike in competition use. Since the competition parts were not available to the public- this is the only opportunity to have an authentic TRD JGTC package for the SW20.
The parts will come from new 1st generation molds. I was wondering how much interest there might be out there. It will be available in FRP, or Carbon Kevlar.
The kit (on a vehicle) will premiere at this year's TOYOTAFEST on May 14 at the Queen Mary Park, in Long Beach.
I also have the "Monocraft by TRD" kits for the MRS. Again this is "as designed" for the TRD supported JGTC "works" teams.
Thanks for reading.

Re: TRD JGTC SW20
thanks for the links-
as far as I could tell- those were recreations (aside from the red one, but not sure...)
the details are wrong...
but very nicely done...
we are in the business of restoring "historic" Toyota race models
finished the 1st generation IMSA GTU car, the actual chassis of the car from Japan- and ran by Kent Racing

now working on the 2nd generation GTU/GTO car
as soon as the molds are done for this
it is on for the TRD JGTC SW20...
although never raced here in the US
the success of the MR 2 turbo in the old Firestone Hawk series
generated enough following that a competitive entry with the MR2 was briefly considered
hardest part is in storage the fiberglass panels warped, the ones on the car need repairs..
and for authenticity- in becomes painstakingly slow....
sorry this is a little off-topic

Groupb, I have tried contacting you a couple times over at 1stGenCelica's but never heard back....
Whatever the case, I am heading down to Toyotafest this year mainly to check this out. Could you at least tell me where I might be able to find you? Thanks. Hope its turning out well, take care.
