What suspension are people running? I want to lower my car slightly to give it better presence, but keep a little bit of comfort in doing so. Coilover's are a no no, so I'm really only looking at lowering springs for my black billies.

Now tyres, I was going to run 225/40/17 on 8j front, and 245/40/17 or 255/40/17 on 9j rear.

I was planning on putting the car on track this year, but it won't be an out and out track monster.

Cheers for any advice

Ive not fitted them yet but I have some TRD lowering springs, TRD front and rear ARB, TRD front and rear braces and a set of yellow billies. Just got to find the TRD bush set then suspension will be replaced.

im currently looking to do the same with mine so interested in what people think regarding this!
i was going to use apex springs because going by what i've read on other forums they're pretty compfortable and only lower the car by about 30mm which i believe is what TRD originally did? might also be worth organising a small group buy if a few others need the same springs? just a thought!

regarding tyres, i'm running 215/40/17 on 8j's on the front and 245/40/17 on 9js at the rear. i also had 255/40/17's fitted to the rears for a while which made the rear wheels sit further out (or at least look like they did!)

I'd contact Aarron at LithiaToyota in US as they sell the springs new.

Contact him through MR2OC.com here:

Cheers Jack, I think I'll go for some 215 & 245 40 17's

I bought G-Max springs as a tempoary measure to get the ride height how I want to, well to trial it.

Is there any websites that sell the TRD lowering springs?

Contact Aaaron above - he works for a Toyota dealer in the USA that regularly gets TRD stock :-) Good place to get ARBs too.
